Viti FM top rugby commentator Antonio Rahiman.

Viti FM top rugby commentator Antonio Rahiman says his analysis of the Fiji Airways men’s national 7s team’s three pool games is that discipline and defence have really improved.

Rahiman says Fiji only gave away five penalties in those three games.

He adds only five tries were scored against Fiji in the three pool games where there were two tries by England, one by Kenya and two by USA.

Rahiman says it is good to see the senior players communicating effectively when it comes to defence.

He says it is obvious that Fiji is known for their offload game but the difference in this team is the consistent support play.

Rahiman says it is the forward pack that has been doing all the hard work because they are putting the big hits and solid runs to provide opportunities for the backline.

The cup quarterfinal will start at 5:40am tomorrow where Fiji will face France in the first quarterfinal, South Africa will meet Samoa in the second quarterfinal, Argentina will go up against England and New Zealand will face Australia in the last quarterfinal.

The semis will start at 9.44am tomorrow while the Cup final will be played 12.58pm tomorrow.
