The Vishva Hindu Parishad Fiji will be hosting the 5th National Hindu Conference after 6 years this Saturday at the Harbour Point Convention Centre Hall in Lami.
The theme of the conference is “United Communities, Stronger Fiji”.
National President, Jay Dayaal says they aim to provide a platform for all major Hindu organizations to congregate and navigate the future course the Hindu community as a cohesive.
He says the one-day conference will bring together stakeholders from government, civil society, academia, thought leaders and other dignitaries.
Dayal says the event will deliberate on strengthening collaboration with State agencies and how serving our communities in various ways such as social services, education and law and order protection contributes towards the progress of our nation.
He says their organization came under attack from hostile forces of the old order and there was a debate on them in the Parliament following the 2018 General Elections.

The conference will be inaugurated by the Indian High Commissioner to Fiji, Suneet Mehta.
