Viliame Kikau is likely to feature for the Penrith Panthers in the grand final clash against Melbourne Storm

Viliame Kikau is likely to feature for the Penrith Panthers in the grand final clash against Melbourne Storm this week.

Kikau was suspended for one match after being found guilty of a grade one dangerous throw charge on Roosters prop Jared Waerea-Hargreaves.

The 25-year-old is expected to slot back into the second row, moving Kurt Capewell back to the bench.

Meanwhile, Panthers fans can breathe a sigh of relief with the confirmation that star hooker Apisai Koroisau is fine after picking up a shoulder injury in Saturday’s 20-16 win against the Rabbitohs.

The last time the Panthers played in a grand final was 2003, when they collected the club's second title, while Melbourne has now made four of the past five deciders, losing in 2016 and 2018 and tasting success in 2017.

The Panthers will meet Storm in the NRL Grand final at 8.30pm this Sunday at Sydney's ANZ Stadium.
