Rio Olympic gold medallist Vatemo Ravouvou has returned to international 7s duties after being named in the Fiji Airways National Men's 7s squad for the HSBC Hong Kong 7s next week.

Ravouvou’s comeback is expected to inject invaluable experience and motivation into the team.

Also making it into the team and likely to make his international 7s debut for Fiji is former Dominion Brothers U21 player Joji Nasova.

Joining them are Manueli Maisamoa and Rubeni Kabu, both making a welcomed return after a hiatus from the last three legs.

Notable omissions from the list are Pilipo Bukayaro, Ropate Rere and Napolioni Bolaca.

Other players that have been selected to fly the Fijian flag in Hong Kong include Joseva Talacolo, Josese Batirerega, Jeremaia Matana, Suliano Volivolituevei, Waisea Nacuqu, Terio Veilawa, Filipe Sauturaga, Kaminieli Rasaku, Ponipate Loganimasi, Vuiviwa Naduvalo, and Viliame Naikausa.

Fiji will open their Hong Kong 7s campaign against Australia at 9.30pm next Friday, they will then take on Canada at 12.33am next Saturday and play France at 5.43pm next Saturday in their final pool match.

The Hong Kong 7s will be held from next Friday to Sunday.
