Various retailers are starting to follow the rules – Dr Fong

Permanent Secretary for Health, Doctor James Fong says many retailers are starting to follow the COVID-19 rules.

These rules include wearing a mask, maintaining two metres distance and installing the careFIJI app.

Fong says nobody can plan for an outbreak and they need to give people time to sort themselves out.

He says he does not want to be over draconian in the way they are trying to apply these rules.

Doctor Fong says he wants people to absorb the rules and know why it needs to happen and then apply it.

He says it is necessary they do it because there is a risk to your life, your loved ones and the lives of the people in the country.
