Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka received a courtesy call from the Vanua o Bau at the GCC complex in Nasese.

In thanking the Vanua o Bau, Rabuka acknowledged the visit and says that this occasion has not only strengthened the Government’s calling to serve the people of Fiji, but it is also a boost of confidence for the challenges that lie ahead.

He says he is not sure if this visit is the first of its kind, and if it is, he thanked them for coming, and if it is not, he also thanked them for upholding this tradition and hopes that this gesture will continue for the future governments that will be elected to serve the country so that they know their ties to the Vanua.

Rabuka says things are now beginning to clear up for them, and they have started to work on things that are needed to be done.

He adds that they have begun the work that was intended to be carried out in the first 100 days of being elected.

The Prime Minister also shared well wishes of good health and good fortunes for Ratu Epenisa Cakobau, his people and the nation of Fiji.
