Vancouver 7s: Fiji through to quarter final after beating Great Britain 26-15

The Fiji Airways National Men’s 7s team have booked a place in the cup quarter finals after beating Great Britain 26-15.

Fiji had a scrappy start in the first spell conceding 3 tries to Great Britain as Tom Williams scored a hatrick in the 4th, 5th and 6th minute of the game.

Waisea Nacuqu scored a converted try just before half time to close the gap to 15-7.

Fiji regrouped in the second spell and scored three more tries through Iowane Teba, Ponipati Loganimasi and Rauto Vakadranu keeping Great Britain scoreless.

Barring upsets, Fiji is likely to play either Argentina or South Africa at 4.05pm in the 2nd cup quarter final later this afternoon.

The Men’s Cup quarter finals will kick off at 3.37pm, the semi finals will begin at 9.48am tomorrow while the final will be at 2.26pm tomorrow.
