WOWS Kids Fiji today received a boost to their operations after Value City donated over $53,000 to support the organisation in their work of serving children living with cancer.

Value City Managing Director, Vera Chute says they decided to support WOWS Kids Fiji after one of their staff lost their child to cancer and they were deeply moved about the experience.

She also says she was moved after listening to Sina Kami who shared her late daughter’s (Tae Kami) story, and this was also one of the reasons they have decided to support WOWS Kids Fiji from this year onward.

Chute says Value City has been involved with cancer fundraisers, mainly focusing on breast cancer however last year they decided to change their focus.

Tae Kami who passed away at 15 years old is the original composer of the song ‘Walk On, Walk Strong’ WOWS.

The Chair and Co-founder of WOWS Kids, Sina Kami says by the end of this year, they will be able to reach out to all the places they couldn’t reach before.

Kami says it was not an easy journey to start this initiative in Fiji.

She further says today was about the gifts that has been donated because people believe in the work that they do.
