Vakasenuqanuqa for President in Taveuni today

A traditional celebration or Vakasenuqanuqa for President Na Gone Turaga Bale Na Tui Cakau Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu is underway in Somosomo Village, Taveuni.

Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka who is in Somosomo presented his isevusevu to the Mata’i Navatu, Mikaele Ramanu.

He says following this, he was warmly greeted by three school boys who were on their way home from school.

Rabuka thanked Somosomo District School Year 8 student Josefa Koroisere, Year 4 student Solomoni Qisavola Joseph Jale and Year 3 student Bose Qalovi.

He further says as they begin another new week, he extended his best wishes to every student in their studies.

Rabuka adds that parents should continue to support children’s education as they work towards building a knowledgeable society and prosperous Fiji.
