The President of the Shree Sanatan Dharm Pratinidhi Sabha of Fiji, Sarju Prasad is urging people to get vaccinated because that is the only saviour and our best chance of returning to normalcy.

Prasad says it is the responsibility of every Fijian to look after their safety and the welfare of their loved ones.

He says there is nothing contrary to their religion in getting vaccinated and Sanatan Dharm itself believes in scientific research based on righteousness and facts.

Prasad says it is very unfortunate that some people are spreading rumours and people should not listen to the ones who are telling them not to get vaccinated.

He says he is surprised that people still have doubts about the AstraZeneca vaccine because it has been approved by the World Health Organization.

He is urging people to refrain from spreading misinformation and encourage their family members to get vaccinated.

Prasad says the Sanatan Dharm is not against vaccination or the use of any drug for the purpose of giving life to people.

He adds immunizing yourself against this pandemic will let us all have a good life and freedom of movement and those who have difficulties should discuss it with their doctors and priests or anybody who is educated in this area.
