Unvaccinated man fined for travelling from Waya Island to Lautoka

A 45-year-old unvaccinated man who travelled from Waya Island to Lautoka has been issued with a public health infringement notice for failing to comply with orders pertaining to the entering and exit of a containment zone.

A total of 167 people were fined between the 13th and 17th of this month which includes 116 bookings for failing to wear a mask in a public place.

Most of these bookings were in the Western and Southern Divisions.

Police say 35 people were fined for failing to wear a mask while travelling in a public service vehicle, 13 people were fined for breaching curfew while 2 public service vehicle drivers were booked for failing to comply with the 80% passenger capacity regulation.
