UniFiji’s Dr Prasad among world's top 2 percent scientists, recognised by Stanford University

It is a proud moment for Dr.Ramendra Prasad who is a senior lecturer at the University of Fiji to be selected as one of the world's top 2 percent of scientists by Stanford University.

Dr. Ramendra says it is an incredible honour for any scholar or researcher, as well as the organization, to be listed in the top 2 percent of the world's most prominent scholars or researchers based on research publications and citations.

He says his research work and interest include modelling and simulations, energy and atmospheric modelling, energy management, feasibility and testing and evaluating of new energy generation technologies, advanced machine learning and deep learning approaches, and advanced data analytics.

UniFiji says the recognition is based on the single recent year impact criteria for 2023 publications and citations in the subfields of Energy, Environmental Engineering and Earth & Environmental Sciences.

They say Dr. Prasad who is Head of the School of Science in the University’s School of Science and Technology said that seeing his name mentioned in the top 2 percent of scientists according to publications and citations for the second year made him feel honour and humbled.

UniFiji adds it has positioned them as a respectable university with highly esteemed researchers on the global stage.
