UniFiji ready to register students from this Friday

The University of Fiji says it is ready to start registering students who have successively achieved the minimum marks for each of its programmes as soon as the results are announced by the Ministry of Education today.

Vice Chancellor of the University of Fiji, Professor Shaista Shameem says the results being released before the expected date, gives UniFiji more time to advise students on their options for study at the University and provide them with all the information they need for a stress and hassle-free registration process.

Professor Shameem says the University of Fiji staff realized that students would be anxious about their results and where they could go for tertiary education afterwards.

For that reason, University staff are on stand-by to assist parents as well as the students to make the right academic choices depending on their marks, their preferences for further study and their goals in life.

She says the University approaches its role as tertiary education advisers from a holistic perspective.

Professor Shameem says that means that students will be assured that their own future goals would also be taken into account in the University’s guidance provided by academic and administration staff.

Students can apply to the University’s Saweni and Samabula Campuses from 27th December or through on-line registration.
