University of Fiji is expecting a good turnout of students to be part of the 2025 Open Day tomorrow at the Sawani and Samabula campuses.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Shaista Shameem says the Open Day plays a pivotal role in helping future students make informed decisions about their studies.

Professor Shameem says the event promises a dynamic and interactive experience, showcasing UniFiji’s academic excellence, diverse programmes, and vibrant campus life.

She also highlighted that the university’s Open Days are known for exciting activities that allow young people and their parents to experience the quality education the institution can offer.

President of the UniFiji Student Association, Rodney Vakaloloma, says UniFiji’s smaller size creates an intimate and supportive learning environment, and the UFSA plays an important role in making the campus experience welcoming and engaging.

Vakaloloma says lecturers have the opportunity to engage closely with each student, ensuring no one is left behind.

He also highlighted that they will be hosting a vibrant market day, which is a fun way to experience campus life while supporting students, as funds raised help with their fees.
