Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu stresses that if any of his officers breaches the law, and there is evidence, they will be taken to court.

Tudravu says when they analysed what was happening on the ground, the perpetrators were mostly iTaukei, and he is happy that the Mataqali and Yavusa leader titles are being filled.

While acknowledging the great work of the iTaukei Affairs Ministry and the Great Councils of Chiefs in filling the vacant chiefly titles and visiting iTaukei communities to discuss issues prominent in our society nowadays, the Police Commissioner says there is a lot of influence in the iTaukei structure, and the Police Force will continue to work with the iTaukei Affairs Ministry and the GCC.
