Prime Minister, Sitiveni Rabuka confirms that a report concerning the unauthorised issuance of passports to children of individuals associated with the Grace Road human rights allegations has been submitted to the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Rabuka says the DPP will now determine the appropriate course of action.

When questioned whether this is the reason why the Minister for Home Affairs, Pio Tikoduadua has not been given the two portfolios back, the Prime Minister says he has not seen the results of the investigation.

Tikoduadua stepped aside as the Minister for Immigration in November last year to allow for a thorough investigation into the matter.

He earlier said that those passports appeared to have been issued without his knowledge, without the approval of the Permanent Secretary, and authorisation from senior management within the Department of Immigration.
