Fiji beats Kenya in second game 21-7

The future is unknown but we will work hard - Tuwai

The Fiji Airways men’s national 7s team booked their second win of the Hamilton 7s tournament after beating Kenya 21-7.

Fiji scored the only points in the first half with a converted try to Filipe Sauturaga for a 7-0 lead going into the half time break.

Kenya started the 2nd spell strongly scoring a converted try under the post to level the score 7-all before captain Waisea Nacuqu and Vuiviawa Naduvalo scored a converted try each to give Fiji their second win.

While speaking after the match, two time Olympic gold medallist Jerry Tuwai has assured fans that they will work hard.

They will now play Samoa in their final pool game at 3.06pm this afternoon.

Fiji earlier beat France 26-10.

The men’s cup quarter-finals will start at 9.58am tomorrow, the semi finals begin at 1.48pm and the final will be played at 6.56pm tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the Fijiana 7s team will take on hosts the Black Ferns at 2.12pm and will play PNG at 5.37pm later this afternoon.

They beat Great Britain 19-14 in their first pool match.

The women’s cup quarter finals will kick-off at 8.30am tomorrow, the cup semi final will begin at 12.20pm and the cup final will be at 6.26pm tomorrow.
