The Fiji Airways Men's National 7s team have dispatched the Blitzboks 28-10 in their second pool game this morning.

Fiji's tries were scored by Joseva Talacolo, Pilipo Bukayaro, Jeremaia Matana, and debutant Apete Narogo with conversions by Waisea Nacuqu, George Bose, Vuiviwa Naduvalo and Terio Veilawa.

South Africa's two tries were scored by Ronald Brown and Tristan Leyds.

While South Africa looked dangerous at times even scoring first they were easily shut down by Fiji's defence.

The South African side were let down by their handling errors as they trailed Fiji 14-5 at halftime.

The Osea Kolinisau coached side seem to have their finger on the pulse as they were able to coordinate attacks and offloads that kept the Blitzboks guessing.

During an interview after the game, Talacolo thanked their families and fans for their prayers and support.

Talacolo says the tournament is not over as they will learn from the mistakes made over the last two games as they prepare for their next game.

Fiji will play France at 4.12am today in their last pool game.

Fiji won their fist game 26-19 against Argentina.

The men’s semifinals will begin at 10.06pm tomorrow, with the final set for 4.11am Monday.

In other games, France thrashed Argentina 59-7, New Zealand pipped Australia 21-17, Great Britain defeated Spain 14-10.

Meanwhile, the Fijiana 7s side have won their first two pool games, 28-19 against France and before that 19-7 against the USA and they play the Black Ferns next at 1.27am today.
