Two more lives have been lost in separate road accidents over the weekend.

Police say the first accident occurred in Suva early Saturday morning at around 2, when the victim was crossing the road and was allegedly hit by a vehicle driven by a man in his 30s.

They say the victim was taken to the CWM Hospital, where he was admitted until he passed away early yesterday morning.

In the second accident, a man was found dead along the Labasa–Seaqaqa Highway at Qelewaqa and is believed to have been the victim of a hit-and-run incident early yesterday.

Police say the victim was found with visible injuries, allegedly sustained as a result of the accident.

He was taken to the Labasa Hospital, where medical officials confirmed his death.

The search continues for the driver.

Investigation continues for both incidents.
