Two-time Olympic gold medalist Jerry Tuwai and Rio gold medalist Vatemo Ravouvou have joined the National Men’s 7s extended squad in preparation for the final 3 tournaments in the 2023/2024 HSBC SVNS World Series and the Paris Olympics in July.

Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s coach Osea Kolinisau says they had an honest discussion with Tuwai, who informed him where he is at in terms of fitness.

Kolinisau says it’s always great to have Tuwai on the team as he is a natural leader and also can mentor young players.

Kolinisau says Ravouvou is also in camp, and he is looking forward to seeing Ravouvou play in the 48th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s this week.

Meanwhile, the Fiji Men’s team is pooled with Australia, Canada and France in the Hong Kong 7s that will be held from the 5th to the 7th of next month.
