Minister for Justice, Siromi Turaga is working together with the members of the Electoral Commission on a few pending objectives such as the pending audit of the 2022 election glitch, the review of the three electoral laws and the progress of the upcoming Local Government Elections.

The Electoral Commission says they met with Turaga who also provided insights into the Government’s objectives for the short and medium term concerning elections in Fiji, aligning with the priorities of the Commission.

The Commission says this significant meeting marks an important step in strengthening collaboration between the Electoral Commission of Fiji and its line Ministry.

They say the meeting also focused on the review of the operations of the Fiji Elections Office, which serves as the administrative arm of the Commission was also a focal point of the discussions.
