Swire Shipping Fijian Drua prop Emosi Tuqiri has signed on for two more seasons with the club for the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific competition.
Tuqiri says he is very grateful and blessed to be given another opportunity to go to battle with the brothers for a few more seasons.
He thanked the club for believing in him and looking forward to seeing where the next part of this journey takes him.
Tuqiri received his first call-up to the Fiji Water Flying Fijians during the 2023 Rugby World Cup, marking a significant milestone in his rugby career.
Although he has yet to make his Flying Fijians debut, this opportunity reflects the immense talent and potential he brings to the team.
The Namatakula man has previously represented Fiji in the Under 20s, playing a crucial role in clinching the championship title at the 2019 Rugby Europe Championship held in Romania.
Fijian Drua General Manager Rugby, Baden Stephenson says Tuqiri is a great team man and someone that they have confidence to really step up on the field over the next two years.
Stephenson says Tuqiri has his best rugby in front of him as he is a skillful player that has good game sense and strong set piece.
