Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s Team Coach Gareth Baber says that Aminiasi Tuimaba and Vilimoni Botitu may not play the remaining four tournaments of the HSBC 7s series.

Baber has told Legend FM Sports that the discussions were always that the two key players will leave after the Tokyo Olympics which has now been postponed and if everything goes according to plan then the players are expected to start their contracts in France in July or August.

He says they have spoken to their clubs and there is a possibility that they could be released for tournaments next season.

Baber added that Botitu and Tuimaba have been huge ambassadors for the 7s program in Fiji.

The Hong Kong, Singapore, London and Paris 7s have been postponed due to COVID-19.
