Acting Police Commissioner, Rusiate Tudravu will not make any comments on whether Police are monitoring meetings of the Taukei Movement or whether certain members are under investigation.

This follows the Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama’s comments in parliament that the Opposition members taken in for questioning by Police should find out what happened in Lautoka with the Taukei Movement on Saturday July 24th.

Bainimarama had said that for all of those members of the Opposition harping about Police investigation, he suggests they learn about what transpired in Lautoka on that day with the Taukei Movement.

He says maybe it will justify what the Police did in their investigation.

We also asked Bainimarama on what happened with the Taukei Movement on that day. He has not made any further comments.
