A trough of low pressure located in the South Western part of Fiji is expected to affect parts of the country over the weekend.

The Nadi Weather Office says the strong wind that was experienced in the Eastern and Western parts of the country last night was due to the trough of low pressure.

A strong wind warning remains in force for all land areas in the Yasawa’s Southern and Eastern parts of Viti Levu including areas from Korovou to Suva and to Navua and nearby smaller islands , Kadavu and the Southern Lau Group.
