Tributes are pouring in for Fiji's iconic musician and songwriter, Jese Mucunabitu who passed yesterday at the CWM Hospital after a prolonged illness.
Top local musician Big Wilz says the late Mucunabitu is a big loss for the music industry in Fiji.
Big Wilz says despite the fame that Mucunabitu gained, he remained humble.
He adds it was an honour for him to have shared the same stage with the great Mucunabitu.
Mucunabitu sang some memorable songs like Fascinating Fiji, Tropical Dawn, Lomaloma and My Taveuni. Many people will never forget Jese serenading them at the famous Tiko’s Restaurant.
Mucunabitu was from Bau Island and is survived by his wife and 6 children.
