Two Cyprus Nationals charged in regards to money laundering

The trial for the two Cyprus Nationals who are facing charges in regards to obtaining financial advantage by deception will take place from the 16th to the 30th of June, this year.

It is alleged that Loizos Petridis and Cleanthis Petridis obtained $12,500 from BSP between 12 December and 19 December 2017.

They are also charged with attempting to obtain property by deception. It is alleged that they attempted to dishonestly obtain $17,900 from BSP with the intent to permanently deprive the bank of the same amount.

Their third charge is possession of property suspected of being proceeds of crime. It is alleged they were in possession of $203,011 that may reasonably be suspected of being proceeds of crime.
