Trial for nine to start on Monday

The trial for the nine people accused in relation to the importation of 4.15 tonnes of methamphetamine in Nadi in December 2023, will begin on Monday.

The four who pleaded guilty on Tuesday appeared before Justice Aruna Aluthge at the Lautoka High Court today, and a pre-trial checklist was filed.

The four are David Heritage, Cathy Bainisavu, Ratu Osea Levula and Sakiusa Tuva.

The summary of facts has been tendered in regard to the four who pleaded guilty to the Court to be reviewed and will be read on Monday morning.

The five accused have maintained their non-guilty plea, which include Justin Ho, Frank Louie Logaivau, Jale Aukerea, Viliame Colowaliku and Aporosa Davelevu.
