People travelling along the Suva-Nausori corridor will have to ready for traffic tomorrow morning as the Energy Fiji Limited will be transporting a generator set from the Kings Wharf in Suva to the Kinoya Power Station from 3am to 7am.

The generator will be transported from Harris Road to Edinburgh Drive, Princess Road, Khalsa Road, Kings Road, Yasiyasi Road, Ratu Dovi Road and Ratu Dovi Road to Energy Fiji Limited Kinoya Depot.

EFL says the first generator set was successfully transported on Monday.

They say this is the second unit to be delivered to the depot.

EFL says there will be temporary power outages to facilitate the safe transport of the generators beneath overhead power lines.

They say certain lines may be temporarily de-energized and power will be restored immediately after the equipment passes.

They says in the unlikely event of any damage to power infrastructure, prompt repair and restoration efforts will be undertaken.
