Tokatoka Resort in Nadi is hoping the reopening of international borders will be a boost for the business.

Resort Manager, Desappa Mudaliar says they have re-opened their doors because the borders will open shortly and they wanted to switch to operational mode.

The resort has been closed since April this year and re-opened on the 6th of September.

He adds currently they are getting business from locals which looks like will increase.

Mudaliar says all their staff were laid off and were called for operational needs once or twice in a month for duties like cleaning the compound.

He adds currently they have about eight staff working at the resort and as the business picks up they will get more staff at work.

Mudaliar confirms all 85 staff are fully vaccinated.
