Tikiko defeats reigning champion Cokanasiga from the Police team with a 3–0 point victory

Tikiko Tavualevu,of the Army boxing team, won his first round of the 80kg catergory defeating defending champion Epeli Cokanasiga with a 3–0 point victory over Police in the Vodafone Ratu Sukuna Bowl competition. 

Tikiko was also part of Inspire Pacific's Tagane Mai Program and featured on fijivillage Straight Talk with Vijay Narayan.

Head Coach Alfred Ledua praised Tikiko’s performance, noting that while he showed growth and gained valuable knowledge from the match, there is still room for improvement ahead of tomorrow’s fights.

Ledua also acknowledges that the Police team will retain the title for now, calling it a challenging feat for the Army team to claim.

The latest inter-force boxing meet saw the Police boxing contingent produce a series of strong performances across multiple weight divisions, securing the majority of wins on the card.

Overall 6 Police won with 3 points and Army Boxing Team had 2 wins in todays match with all 3 points.

Police are Jone Davule, Keleto Takele, Josaia Veiqaravi, and Josefa Mafoa.

Whereas in the Army are Semi Koroi, Jesoni Matakitotoya, Tome Vulo, Tikiko Tavualevu and Foama.
