Three remand prisoners who escaped from a Police vehicle while being escorted to Suva from Lautoka on Tuesday have each been charged with one count of Escaping from Police Custody.
They escaped along the Nadi Back Road while returning from their trial in the Lautoka Magistrates Court for cases of aggravated robbery and were then recaptured immediately.
Police say the three men will appear in the Nadi Magistrates Court today.
The fourth escapee who was recaptured yesterday is still in custody and yet to be charged as investigations continue.
He was arrested in Votualevu, Nadi.
