A whopping 16 out of 38 players in the Broncos squad have tested positive for COVID-19.

The players were set to return to training yesterday but are now isolating, as are three staff members who also tested positive.

All Broncos players and football staff have been double vaccinated against the virus.

Meanwhile, 10 players in the North Queensland Cowboys squad have also tested positive for Covid-19 with the club’s site confirming they are isolating at home.

The Gold Coast Titans also has nine players and staff isolating in line with Queensland’s Covid requirements.

All affected players and staff will quarantine at home for seven days and will be able to return to training if they then have no symptoms for 48 hours.
