Three 9-year-old children and three adults are dead after a shooting at the Covenant School, a private Christian elementary school in Nashville, Tennessee.
The shooter, described as a 28-year-old from Nashville, entered the building through a side door and was armed with at least two assault-style rifles and a handgun.
The shooter, who police believe was once a student at the school, was killed during gunfire with police.
This marks the 129th mass shooting in the US so far in 2023, according to data from the Gun Violence Archive.
