Prime Minister, Sitiveni Rabuka

Prime Minister, Sitiveni Rabuka stresses that the resignations of the two Deputy Prime Ministers is not a political move to consolidate support for the People’s Alliance.

He made these comments in a press conference after questions raised and suggestions made that these actions could relate to the People’s Alliance consolidating support to be the dominant force in the 2026 general elections.

The Prime Minister has thanked Professor Biman Prasad and his family for his cooperation and their support for him during the time that they have served together in cabinet since December 24th 2022.

He says Professor Prasad remains the National Federation Party Leader and MP, and the NFP continues to be part of the coalition.

Rabuka had earlier confimed that People’s Alliance MP, Manoa Kamikamica remains the Deputy Leader of the party.
