Deputy Prime Minister and the Leader of the National Federation Party Professor Biman Prasad

Deputy Prime Minister and the Leader of the National Federation Party Professor Biman Prasad says he wants to assure the people of Fiji that this is a Government that is going to work for everyone.

While speaking at the signing of the Coalition Agreement between People’s Alliance, National Federation Party and SODELPA Professor Prasad says they have already seen a lot of confidence, a lot of expectations and indeed, pleasure on the part of everyone including the civil servants that they work with now.

He adds this is now a Government in which three parties are equal partners.

Deputy Prime Minister and Leader of SODELPA, Viliame Gavoka says being in office for the last few days, the determination of all the parties to make this work is quite significant and they believe this is a win for all Fijians.

Gavoka says structures have been put in place to make the coalition work.

Prime Minister and the Leader of the People’s Alliance, Sitiveni Rabuka says coming to an agreement by the three coalition parties was not easy but they were driven by the fact that they knew it was possible.

He says in negotiation there is a requirement and a need for lot of give and take, some say compromise and in some cases more than compromise as it is sacrifice on everybody’s parts.
