There are 527 millionaires in Fiji, however, this number could be much higher as some individuals are not fully declaring their total income.
This has been confirmed by the Chief Executive Officer of the Fiji Revenue and Customs Service Visvanath Das.
Das says the high wealth individuals are rated as those earning $1 million or more in a year.
334 of these people are business owners while 193 people are salary earners.
He says Revenue and Customs is also focusing on the high wealth individuals earning more than $1 million and not fully declaring their total income in a year.
Das is also calling on people to come forward and assist them with documentary evidence if they know of anyone who is under-declaring their income to evade taxes.
