TFL's former Manager Treasury and Finance Controller agree that payments made to Kaba's company were legitimate

Former Manager Treasury for Telecom Fiji Limited, Samuel Brown and Financial Controller, Ashika Nandani agree that $766,327.22 was a legitimate payment made to former Director of TFL, Sanjay Kaba's company Houng Lee Kaba Jacob Limited.

During the trial, Brown said that Kaba had no control on the internal procedure of payments made.

He says according to TFL's internal procedure the fund is transferred after the second approver approves it.

Nandani says that nine companies had applied for the Expression of Interest for the TFL Head Office.

Nandani says four companies were shortlisted for the project and only two companies including HLK Jacob Pte Ltd made their presentation.

She says during a full Board Meeting HLK Jacob Pte Ltd was awarded the tender.

During cross examination Nandani also agreed that Kaba didn't do any inquiry about the project after resignation.

FICAC intends to finish the case tomorrow.

They have called 11th witnesses so far.
