The journey of childhood cancer is not just a physical battle but a deeply emotional and psychological one.

While officiating at the Christmas Gala night for WOWS Kids Fiji at the Grand Pacific Hotel, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Professor Biman Prasad highlighted that WOWS Kids Fiji has been a beacon of hope and resilience in the face of childhood cancer.

While commending the organisation for their effort and dedication in supporting the children and families with cancer, Professor Prasad says with their holistic approach WOW kids have become a pillar of strength and support for the young warriors, their families and friends.

He says apart from just medical care they also offer companionship and a community that understands.

Professor Prasad further says he was once told that the government did not provide any support to the Fiji Cancer Society.

However, he assures that the government will do its part from now on-wards and will take steps to strengthen its partnership for the efforts and dedication in the war of the organisation.

The Deputy Prime Minister also highlighted that the government is proud to align itself with such organisations that share the vision for a healthier and more compassionate society.
