Poor defence and miscommunication resulted in the Bulldogs getting thrashed by the Roosters 42-6 in last night's NRL match.

James Tedesco scored a hat-trick, Angus Crichton scored twice while Kyle Flanagan and Brett Morris each had a try for the Roosters.

The only try for the Bulldogs came from Nick Meaney in the 66th minute of the match.

The Roosters led the Bulldogs 24-0 at half-time.

The Bulldogs had other opportunities to crossover but the lack of communication between players cost them the huge margin.

After Round 5 of NRL, the Eels are in the lead in the points table with 10 points, followed by the Raiders and Storm with 8 points but the Raiders are in second place with points difference while the Titans are in the last place with 2 points.

Looking at Round 6, the Knights will take on the Broncos at 9.50pm Thursday, the Rabbitohs will face the Warriors at 8pm Friday, the Panthers will play the Storm at 9.55pm Friday, the Titans will take on the Dragons at 5pm Saturday while the Wests Tigers will face the Cowboys at 7.30pm Saturday.
