Thailand crush Fiji 3-0 in King’s Cup opener

Host nation Thailand made a dominant start to the 2025 King’s Cup, overpowering the Fiji Bula Boys with a convincing 3-0 victory in the tournament’s opening match.

In the day’s other fixture, Iraq edged Hong Kong 2-1.

The double-header drew an enthusiastic crowd of over 12,000 fans.

The Fiji squad includes Jitoka Vulaca, Joela Biuvanua, Isikeli Sevanaia, Gabrieli Matanisiga, Patrick Joseph, Simione Nabenu, Mohammed Ayman, Sterling Vasconcellos, Ilisoni Logaivou, Samuela Navoce, Waranivalu, Malakai Lavacake, Penisoni Tirau, Thomas Dunn, Epeli Valevou, Rusiati Doidoi, Etonia Dogalau, Shazil Ali, Christopher Wasasala, Setareki Hughes, and Sitiveni Rakai.
