Tertiary student fronts court for allegedly causing fatal road accident in Waikete, Tailevu

A 20 year old tertiary student appeared in the Nausori Magistrates Court today for allegedly causing the death of a 19 year old man from Waikete Village in a road accident.

It is alleged Moape Saladuadua lost control of the vehicle causing it to veer off the road. The deceased was a passenger in the vehicle.

The incident occurred on Waikete Road in Tailevu on Tuesday morning.

Saladuadua is charged with one count each of dangerous driving occasioning death, driving a motor vehicle without being the holder of a driving license, taking a motor vehicle without owner’s consent and dangerous driving.

He has been released on bail.

The case has been adjourned to the 20th of December.
