The McDonald’s Coral Coast Fiji 7s is delighted to confirm that Ireland's Terry Kennedy, the 2022 World Rugby Men’s 7s Player of the Year, will join the McDonald’s Mike Friday Select team for the 2026 tournament.

In a major coup for fans and the event, Kennedy will make his first appearance at the world’s premier invitational sevens tournament at Lawaqa Park.

Kennedy is celebrated worldwide for his blistering speed, elusive footwork, and lethal finishing ability.

Widely regarded as one of the most electrifying attacking talents of the modern era, Kennedy adds firepower to a Friday team already shaping up as one of the strongest ever assembled.

His inclusion also sets the stage for a special reunion Kennedy will link up with fellow Ireland 7s standouts Jordan Conroy and Harry McNulty, alongside Fijian legends Jerry Tuwai and Semi Kunatani and New Zealand 7s maestro Gillies Kaka.

This extraordinary combination of Irish flair, Fijian brilliance, and Kiwi creativity promises to ignite Lawaqa Park.

The return of Kennedy and Conroy—one of world rugby’s most feared try-scoring duos—reunites much of the core that helped elevate Ireland 7s onto the global stage.

The McDonald's Coral Coast 7s will be held from the 15th to the 17th of January 2026.
