Teleni Mum On Investigation Directive

Teleni Mum On Investigation Directive
The Police Commissioner and Interim Defense Minister have opted to stay silent on a directive issued by one of the senior officers to all the police stations around the country not to investigate members of any disciplined forces, and any complaint to be referred to the force in question.

Commodore Esala Teleni said he does not want to comment on the matter.

Interim Defense Minister Ratu Epeli Ganilau said he is unaware of any such directive.

He also said that he cannot comment on the internal matters of the Police Force.

Meanwhile, Police spokesperson Ema Mua has confirmed the directive was issued by former Director CID SP Waisea Vakamocea last year and it still stands.
