Tebara Carnival: 9th to the 16th of next month at Syria Park

Great news for the people of Nausori as the 2023 Vodafone Tebara Carnival is back and will be held from the 9th to the 16th of next month at Syria Park, Nausori.

While speaking at the launch of the Carnival at the Nausori Market Women’s Accommodation Centre, the Chair of Nausori Nasinu Town Council and Vodafone Tebara Association Uma Kant Patel says since the Carnival started in 2015, Vodafone Fiji has been their major sponsor and while Vodafone is celebrating yet another birthday, they've increased their sponsorship by 35 percent.

He says the sponsorship is timely as it will boost this year's Carnival and also assist them put a grand Carnival that will benefit the community of the Tebara.

Patel says there will be 45 food stalls, amusement rides and fun filled entertainments starting from 7pm.

He adds they are working with the Nausori Town Council for the replacement of damaged, ugly and outdated-looking rubbish bins and install solar lights.

The Association Chair says they could possibly further fund the Council in upgrading Syria Park in the near future making it more user friendly and a place where public can better use the facility.

The theme of the Tebara Carnival is "Clean and Healthy Environment, Beat the Plastic Pollution".

In the evening of the final day, the second runner up, first runner up, Miss Charity and Miss Vodafone Tebara Queen 2023 will be crowned.

Six beautiful contestants are vying for the crown of 2023 Vodafone Tebara Queen.

They are Miss Taras Supermarket Vasenai Rabo, Miss Nausori Town Coucil Ana Lule Raogo, Miss Rewa Pharmacy Nitika Neha, Miss Kriss Amusement Shaiya Siya Kumar, Miss Nausori Plaza Priyashna Payal Prasad, and Miss Pak N Save Supermarket Faaizah Shahina.
