Team Fiji added two more gold medals to their tally last night at the Pacific Mini Games in Palau after swimmer, Hansel McCaig clinched gold in the Men’s Freestyle event while the Mixed 200 metres Freestyle Relay team also secured a first-place finish.

McCaig says the win was the result of the team’s collective effort, especially acknowledging the girls who pulled through until the end of the race.

Jonalese Vatubua shared that she was full of joy, noting that it would not have been possible without the support of their team members.

Meanwhile, Tolu Young expressed gratitude saying that without the support from Team Fiji, their families and their coaches, they would not have made it this far.
