A teacher of a Nausori based school will appear in court today after he allegedly assaulted some Year 9 students.
Police say the teacher allegedly used an object to discipline the students who were making noise in their classroom.
One of the students lodged a report and investigations were conducted.
The teacher is charged with one count of assault.
When asked on reports coming in that about 47 students were disciplined, Police say that is what is being claimed however one student came forward to report the matter.
