The Taxi 5 Operators Association has started a campaign to encourage its passengers to get vaccinated.

They have put signs inside their taxis calling on people to join in the fight against COVID-19 and get vaccinated.

Association Secretary Jai Subhash says most of their members are fully vaccinated and the rest are eager to have their second jab soon.

Subhash adds they are front liners in the transport industry and are doing this because it is their social responsibility.

He says they are normally equipped to carry five passengers but now are carrying three in line with COVID-19 Safe protocols.

Subhash adds they are also strictly implementing the no mask, no entry guideline and check if the CareFiji app is active.

He says they do a full washdown of their vehicles daily.
