Terio Tamani has flown to Vancouver to join the Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s team as winger Aminiasi Tuimaba and utility back Livai Ikanikoda return to Fiji.

Tuimaba arrived into the country this morning to join his family who are mourning the loss of his grandfather while Ikanikoda sustained a high grade ankle injury in the Los Angeles final against South Africa.

Tuimaba is Fiji’s leading try scorer this season with 20 tries.

Ikanikoda will head straight into an intensive rehabilitation programme.

Coach Gareth Baber says they will definitely miss the services of Tuimaba and Ikanikoda but it gives opportunity to other players to take the responsibility.

Baber added Tamani will adjust in fast as he has played with them.

Fiji is pooled with France, Canada and Wales.

They take on Wales at 7.37am on Sunday, then face Canada at 10.49am and battle France at 2.33pm Sunday.
