It was a memorable moment for Mateo Talea who travelled all the way from Waikete Village in Tailevu to be part of the World Radio Day celebrations at the home of Communications Fiji Limited at Waimanu Road in Suva today.

Talea says he always listens to Viti FM as it is his favourite radio station, and to be at the celebration today is a blessing for him especially when he got to meet all announcers from Viti FM and other radio stations.

Originally from Nakorotubu village in Ra, Talea has lived most of his life in Waikete village.

He says he left Waikete village early today to be part of the celebration and also catch a glimpse of his favourite radio personalities.

He adds he was happy to meet most of the announcers from other radio stations as well who always entertain the public.
